BID & PROPOSAL SUPPORT

  • Review Tender documents and prepare tender synopsis and scope of work presentations
  • Compile technical & commercial queries and expedite response from Client.
  • Co-ordinate and interface with engineering consultant and construction contractor.
  • Review RFQs and MTOs to ensure they are in-line with tender documents & addendums.
  • Provide Integrated planning & scheduling to support project scope.
  • Provide support in preparing scope split matrix between various subcontractors to meet the tender qualifying criteria including guidance to meet the local content criteria.
 

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

  • Review and understand contract document and prepare communication matrix in-line with Client requirement.
  • Monitor and record incoming correspondence and respond to each and every correspondence in-line with contract.
  • Monitor Project activities & progress and ensure all variations are captured and reported to Client, followed up with Variation Order and ensure its fruitful closure.
  • Identifying, preparation and submission of Variations and Change Orders to Client
  • Technical Support & Interface with Client in dispute resolution and Arbitrations

ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT

  • Coordination between client, consultant , engineers and others
  • Ensure performance of consultants as per their contract scope
  • Constructability analysis using 3 D model for optimized construction Sequence
  • Set up Engineering Progress Monitoring using progress gates for drawing submittals
  • Review design submissions from consultants and expedite client approval
  • Interface between procurement , vendors, consultant, engineers for technical evaluation
  • Coordination for As-built documentation

PROJECT CONTROL

  • Develop project planning package, progress reports as required by the client
  • Develop and monitor master, micro and macro schedules
  • Set up Progress Measurement System based on EVM
  • Identify potential risks and suggest mitigation plans
  • Resource optimization based on Productivity & Work Front Analysis

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, aptly called “Ship Builder to the Nation”, is one of India’s leading public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence. Main activities are construction of Naval & Merchant Vessels and submarines with facilities situated at Mumbai and Nhava (under development). They have a proven track record of successful projects in offshore sector includes Fixed Offshore Platforms, Jacket piles, Jacket Launch Barge , SPM etc. They specialise in heavy and intricate fabrication works. They are very keen in getting into partnership with technology partners to cater to the wind energy market worldwide.

Advantages of off shore wind energy

More energy generated

Offshore wind speeds are typically faster than on land, and even small increases in speed can produce large increases in energy generation. As such, fewer turbines are needed to produce the same amount of energy as an onshore turbine.

More wind consistency

Wind speeds offshore don’t vary as much and the wind direction doesn’t change as often, so offshore turbines are more consistent (meaning more reliable power generation).

Bigger turbines

Offshore turbines can also be built taller than those onshore, which means they can harness more wind energy and produce more electricity.

PROCUREMENT SERVICES

  • Float enquiries in the market as per Client approved vendor list (AVL) and seek offers.
  • Technical review and closure of vendor offers in-line with Client’s requirement.
  • Provide Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) & Commercial Bid Evaluation (CBE).
  • Explore for new vendors to match project schedule requirements and initiate PQD as required.
  • Expedite vendor drawings and technical acceptance of the same.
  • Monitor and Expedite manufacturing process and visit to vendor unit as required.
  • Co-ordinate for Client inspection and facilitate material acceptance and release.

LOGISTICS SUPPORT

  • Co-ordinate with appointed logistics sub-contractor for statutory clearance of materials & marine spreads like EC, PAC, SPS, MOHA, MOD, Naval clearances Hire-Surveys etc.
  • Support for obtaining Customs duties exemptions and formalities and various clearances required for offshore operations in India.
  • Co-ordinate for materials clearance at Air/Sea Ports.
  • Co-ordinate for International freight movement and inland transportation of Project Cargo.
  • Co-ordinate for material transport to offshore site via Mumbai Port, Nhava Base etc.

FABRICATION MANAGEMENT

  • Preparation of master schedule identifying main activities
  • Monitor progress of design and fabrication for structural & Piping Works
  • Coordination with client and consultant ensuring all issues are resolved
  • Preparation of fabrication schedule on micro and macro level
  • Tracking long lead items for procurement of material/equipment
  • Material management

OFFSHORE HOOK-UP

  • Lead the offshore campaign and coordinate offshore vessel movements.
  • Coordination with client, inspection agencies, sub-contractor for work permits and other technical issues.
  • Verification of work upon completion and ensure sign off by client and inspection agencies
  • Spot check of “as built” corrections in drawings and other documents
  • Plan and expedite clearance of punch list items

SHORE APPROACH & PIPELINE WORKS

  • Expertise in Shore approach pf? pipelaying including pre-trenching, post trenching and back filling.
  • The key personnel have the relevant construction experience.

Pradip is associated with the AJRES and handling the Finance & Accounts as well as Human Resource Department of the company. He has expertise in Accounts receivable & payable, TDS, MIS reports, Accounting policies & Accounts SAP Module and Human resource development.

In AJRES his work involved Accounts receivable & payable, Vendor payments, compilation of financial Data for Management, follow up with various statutory authorities for GST & Tax payments. In addition to this he also looked after companies Human Resource Department and his work involved New joinee process as per requirement and as per company HR policies, fairly implementation of HR policies, salary of the staff, preparation of ISO & other statutory Audits. Prepare the staffing plan and arranging training and development programs for all staff.

He is a commerce graduate and he started his career with Blue Star Pvt. Ltd. In the year 2015.

Ramprakash Korath

Material Management

Ramprakash Korath looks after Material Management function of AJRES from November 2017. He has over 29 years of rich and varied experience. He has handled various functions viz. Store Management, Procurement Management and Material Co-ordination in renowned construction companies.

His contribution in construction arena started with Gammon India Ltd and passed through Punj Lloyd Ltd, Leighton India Contractors Pvt Ltd. & Swiber Offshore (India) Pvt Ltd. He possesses various experiences in Gas pipeline, power plant, building and Oil & Gas.

Ramprakash Korath started his career in the year 1993 as Sales Executive. His marketing experience includes direct sales, dealer marketing of FMCG, food and confectionary.

Prashant Jadhav

Prashant is an over 19 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector for Upstream Project Execution & Downstream Engineering Services

Upstream Project Execution

Extensive experience of Project Execution for Oil & Gas Offshore and Onshore (Brown Field; Green Field). This includes engineering, procurement, expediting, inspection assistance, fabrication supervision, platform topside pre-engineering survey, pre / post construction survey, Piping Commissioning, assistance for offshore vessel movement & Marine operation. Marine warranty survey service for pipeline crossing, sub-sea spool installation, trenching. Experience has included green field and offshore brown field projects in the Mumbai High (India) & Iran.

Downstream Engineering Services

Extensive experience of Engineering Services for Refineries & Fertilizer Industries. Engineering Services experience includes Preparation of Piping Material Specification, Data Sheets for Valves and Specialty piping items, Technical Bid Evaluation, Vendor Drawing Review, Site and Procurement team assistance. Conversant with Codes & Standards. PR, MR Preparation through SAP and Smart Plant Material (Marian), ISO Checking. He started his career with DAS Offshore Ltd. and worked with various Companies like Iranian Offshore, Sarku Marine, Mathews Daniel, Essar Engg. Sachin Badgujar

Senior Engineer (E&I)

Sachin is an electronic graduate engineer with more than 12 years diverse experience in Railways, monorail projects and EPIC Oil & Gas Projects onshore and offshore.

He is working with AJRES for last five years as SME for Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom (EIT) works. He is responsible for bidding, Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning ( EPIC) for onshore & offshore projects. He has successfully handled various challenging & time bound projects independently for prestigious clients like ONGC, L&T, Afcons, Railways, MMRDA, MSEB.

Manoj D Rokde

Marine Operation In-charge

Manoj is Graduate in Commerce from Mumbai University and has over 16 years of experience in Shipping – Offshore, Oil & Gas industry. He associated with the AJRES and handling the Marine Operations Department of the company, he has started his career with Great Eastern Shipping Company’s Offshore Division (later on known as Great Offshore Ltd.) In the year 2006 looked after Marine Operations of various types of offshore Vessels e.g. .MSV, FFSV, PSV, OSV’s, Tugs & Accommodation Barges.

His work involved operational & Logistics matters of the vessels with respective clients (ONGC, DRDO, SPTL, Nayara Energy, Cain Energy) & Various Ports across India. He has vast experience in certifications / SS / DD / Annual Survey / FSI / MOD Clearance / NSC / MOHA clearance / Essentiality Certificate / Importation & Re – exportation of vessels. In addition to this he has a good knowledge of requirements of the Directorate General of Shipping office / Indian Register of Shipping / MMD and Various classification societies for Vessels Certifications, External / Internal / Document of Compliance & ISM Audits. He also has rich experience in similar capacities with Tag Offshore Ltd. And Adsun Offshore Diving Contractors Pvt. Ltd.

Sandeep Patil

Construction Manager

Sandeep is a versatile, high-energy professional with the distinction of executing prestigious projects of large magnitude within strict time schedule, cost & quality. The Projects he was involved were EPCIC for SBM Installation with pipeline, Jacket and Topside Installation, Brown field works (Process Platform Modification works along with Commissioning and handover of Platform).

Over 22 years of experience in oil and gas construction industry both onshore and offshore with project involving brownfield work, jacket and topsides installation, piping and structural fabrication; fabrication yard supervision; load out supervision; work boat/barge vessel inspections, audits and evaluations; offshore installation; planning and implementation of offshore hook-up works, hydro testing, pre-commissioning and maintenance on live oil & gas platforms, SPM Installation works; Constructability reviews during FEED and design; supervision of multi-discipline work forces; reviewing Contractors’ work packages and procedures.

Sandeep is a mechanical engineer and successfully completed numerous projects for Companies like Leighton Contractors, Swiber Offshore, British Gas and DAS offshore.

P K Gopalakrishnan Nair

Logistics Manager

Gopal is a Post Graduate in Commerce having vast experience in the Oil & Gas Sector. He has expertise with Customs, Excise and other formalities/clearances required for offshore operations in India. He has hands on knowledge on clearances such as DGS, DGH, Essentiality Certificate, Project Authority Certificates, Ministry of Home affairs, MOD, Naval clearances, etc. In addition to this he has good knowledge in International freight movement and inland transportation of Project Cargo.

Gopal started his carrier with HHI’s Offshore Project Division as business executive. He was instrumental in handling Business development and Offshore operations at Arcadia Shipping Limited, representing International Companies like NPCC, VMGL for business opportunities and operations in India.

Gopal has headed Logistic department for Oil & Gas Conglomerate like Leighton Contractors and Swiber Offshore and involved in successful execution of many prestigious projects.

Amol Sapkal

Project Engineer

Amol is a Graduate Mechanical Engineer. He has an all-round rich experience of almost a decade in Project management, Project controls, Contract Management, Bids & Proposal, Design & Engineering, Planning & Cost Control, Onshore Production, Process & Operation, Drilling & Exploration (Onshore), Fabrication & Erection, and Estimation both in offshore as well as onshore projects. He has independently handled fast-track turnkey projects, involving work related to Process Platforms, Living Quarters, Well-head platforms, Topside modifications (brownfield), Onshore production and process, Tanks Constructions, Onshore Pipelines, utilities & off-sites.

Amol started his career as Trainee AD in Aakash Exploration’s Workover Rig division and Graduate Trainee Programme (field engineer) in Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Ltd. in Nigeria and developed the key expertise of field engineering, production, process, operations, drilling (onshore), maintenance and projects while working on international assignments. He has successfully value engineered numerous projects while working in AJR as a Project Engineer for Companies like SEEPCO, NNPC, ONGC, RIL, AFCONS, LTHE, ADNOC, NOC, ORSTED, SONATRACH, SONELGAZ Offshore keeping the essence of cost effectiveness.”

Manjit (PMP Certified, Executive MBA in strategic Project Management from IIM Calcutta) is a dynamic professional with 21 years of experience in Project management, Planning, Cost control and Proposals.

Manjit possess a varied experience in handling various Oil & Gas EPCI projects. He has worked on numerous projects as Project Manager/Project Control Manager related to Well head platform, Process Platforms, Subsea Pipeline, Platform Revamp and Modification for prestigious clients like ONGC, BUMI, ARMADA, Boskalis, Shell etc.

He started his career with AFCONS and worked with various companies lie CH2M Hill, PunjLloyd, Essar Offshore, Swiber Offshore. Manjit is BE Civil from Pune University & Executive MBA in Strategic Project Management from IIM Calcutta

Mohan Phatak

Head Project Controls

Mohan Phatak (PMP Certified) a Graduate Mechanical Engineer from IIT Mumbai with Masters in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies with diverse experience of more than 38 years in Project management. Mohan Phatak started his career as graduate trainee engineer in Richardson & Cruddas Ltd and has successfully value engineered numerous projects for Companies like Mazagon Dock Limited, Galfar Engineering & Contracting LLC Muscat, Tecnimont ICB Pvt Ltd Milan and Mumbai, Essar Construction Limited & Petrofac International Ltd Sharjah, U.A.E.

He independently handled various mega and ultra-mega projects in India, Middle East and Europe. He managed and served to different Industry Verticals like Oil & Gas (upstream/Downstream), Refinery and Petrochemicals, Civil & Infrastructure, Metals, Marine &Ship building. He is having expertise in setting up complete Project Management Office (PMO),Risk Analysis, Progress Measurement, Earned Value Management (EVM) & management reporting, Advance Work Packaging (AWP) and constructability review and Management audit. He also is an expert in Project Planning, scheduling and Monitoring.

He won the best Primavera Implementation award in 2006 in contractor category at Primavera User conference in UK. He is having a deep knowledge of preparing System Requirement Specification (SRS) and end user testing of IT systems. He successfully implemented Marian Piping Material Management System.
